GS550 4-1

I've searched high and low but cant find a definitive answer. Any evidence I've found is pointing towards "no" but I thought I'd ask on here. I have a 79 gs550 and I found a good deal on a 4-1 exhaust. The only problem is the seller said its for "an 80's 550". I know the 77-82 engines were all the same, so I'm going to assume I'm safe as it would probably fit, but in 83 suzuki switched to the tscc engines. If it designed for the later 550, would it still bolt up to the 79 head? I know I'll have to change muffler mounts and fab some supports further down the system but my main concern is fitting it to the head. Any input would be great. Thanks.
