For sale or might consider trade (see below). asking $3700 or offer. I have much more than that amount into bike. location is milwaukee area.
Recently finished 1980 Honda CX500 custom bobber/ cafe style bike. Nearly every part is rebuilt from the ground up this past winter/ spring with all new high end parts. This bike is a head-turner. Has won several awards locally already.
- titled and ready to ride
- custom made seat pan with genuine distressed black leather cowhide seat (no vinyl here!)
- chopped rear end with brand new Harley XR1200 adjustable shocks
- maintenance free shaft drive (with completely rebuild and lubed shaft)
- rebuilt front forks with new seals and oil
- all balls tapered bearings in steering headstock
- rebuilt top end of engine
- murrays upswept exhaust with brand new harley Dyna slip ons
- rebuilt, cleaned and rejetted carbs with Murrays POD filters.
- all new radiator hoses, thermostat, clutch plates, oil filter.
- new CAM chain and all new cam guides
- brand new Custom Rewind high output charging stator
- brand new Ignitech electronic ignition
-"triple bypass" procedure completed on engine (read up on this for CX bikes)
- all new wheel bearings, rebuilt brakes, steel braided lines
- brand new Avon Speedmaster front tire and Shinko Classic rear tire with new heavy duty tubes
- new handlebars, master cylinder, chrome headlight, LED taillight, perches, etc
- Acewell digital gauge set has speed, air and engine temps, tach, and all idiot lights built in (this cost $400 alone).
-completely re-wired with heavy duty automotive wire and high end connectors
- brand new , super tiny Shorai lithium ion battery tucked under seat in custom battery box.
- brand new mosfet regulator/ rectifier unit tucked under seat for stable charging.
- brand new ignition switch, grips, cables, etc.
- pristine stock tank with zero rust or dents. Newly painted in heavy silver metallic with candy cherry red accent panels and NOS vintage honda wing badges (these badges are metal, not reproduction plastic units).
- new petcock and tubing
- Everything seen that is silver (except tank which is paint) is powder coated with heavy silver metallic powder with UV proof, high end clear powder over top.
might consider trades- would consider a nice dual sport, Royal Enfield, older triumph, possibly a Buell or older sport bike like a ZX7R, early GSXR, FZR600, or ???
