Reviving Lithium Batteries

Sonreir, or anyone else, do you know if this trick would work on motorcycle lithium batteries? Also, if one of these batteries has been "dead" for a while is it advisable as the article states, to not bother with reviving it?

Contact the manufacturer or poke around their website for info before trying to revive it. Not all batteries have the low voltage protection. When they internally short it's quite a show and there's no way to stop it, you can only sit back and watch until all the smoke is gone.

EDIT: Here's what a lithium battery looks like a few minutes after it shorts internally. And the stench is horrible.
