In the original DKW RT-125 looks like on the photo
DKW_1950-10.jpg

But I had only the engine and part of the frame ...
For this project, 2 forks were purchased. In a bad condition. One of them turned out to be NSU, the second from an unknown motorcycle.

After the work ...
I did not set myself the task of 100% restoration. The result that you see is the fruit of my imagination and the various details that have accumulated In my garage.

Love the microphone air filter, nice touch! Looks like a lot of fun to ride

His native air filter is a can with a washcloth of steel wire soaked in oil. Technology of the beginning of the last century.
This microphone - I'm particularly proud of )))))))))))

Thank you. I need 2-3 days to collect it definitively. Then I will present his photo in the finished form.

Hi guys. I want to consult - which exhaust pipe is preferable?
1 - chrome, but the sound is high and sharp
2 - Of the 60's, dyed, and it seems to me, it's very long. However, the sound is lower and quieter.
Which option would you prefer?

I prefer the look of the shorter pipe, but I don't think a high & sharp exhaust sound would fit the look of the bike. If it were mine I'd probably settle on option 2 for the sound

Thank you for your opinion. At this stage I'm trying to upgrade a short pipe. If i fail - i will have to accept Option 2
