Recently acquired one of these bikes in decent running shape and wanted to make a project out of it. I really wish I had taken a picture before I started tearing it apart but here's one that's complete for those that are not familiar:

My plans are to break it down (which I've already done) and repaint the frame and pretty much any components I can. Today I painted the kickstand, rear break lever, rear break stay, and the top part of the triple clamp. This is my first time doing this so I'm sure I'll be asking you veterans for lots of advice. The way I'm going about painting is just doing a quick sanding with 220 grit, washing off with water, drying, then painting with VHT high temperature roll bar and chassis paint. I plan on doing 3 initial coats, letting it cure for 7 days, then giving it another coat. I'm also thing about a clear sealer after the last coat cures. Any critiques or comments on this method?
