Does everybody else? Skyteam Ace Common problems

Hi guys,

I have discovered that my rear sprocket is quite loose, there is quite a bit of side play although the nuts are all tight. Just wanted to ask the local brain trust whether is it something I should be worried about or is it normal? I have read some forums and they say some side play is normal, but mine is maybe around 5mm and that seems a bit excessive. Would tightening the chain help?

Thanks!

Tomas

Rear hub bushes apparently come standard as "shit". I'm hoping to get aorund to replacing them soon. Anyone know a honda replacement part code by chance?

Trouble is the cost gets doubled when you add shipping from the US, but still cheaper than buying locally in NZ. US$89 from US vs US$130 locally.

OORacing also supply the bushes now 20 quid ...

With lugs that need modifying. 15 quid ...

My rear brake is out of round- pulses badly and shoes howl. Asked dealer via email to replace. Waiting on reply. Carburation a bit iffy too. Needs fine tuning. Hard to kickstart when hot. Choke not needed when cold. Only had it one day so haven't had much fettling time. Never have I had a bike that creates so much attention. In 40km of riding two people have come up to me to talk about bike and one thumbs up from rider with new Harley...I have 13 other bikes and they don't get any attention relatively. :)

When planning longer trips you have to allow for the time spent talking to people at each stop!

I don't think anyone else has had a problem with an out-of-round brake; sounds most unpleasant. My bike ran quite hot until it was run in but now it's got 15000k on the clock (and an oil cooler!) it starts fine.
