M-Ject Automotive (new headers plus!)

M–Ject Automotive in Canberra is a SkyTeam dealer, but he has a lot more than just bikes to offer!

He can provide a plug-and-play 250cc conversion for the ‘Ace’:

Just waiting for final pricing for the exhaust before posting full details.

He also does flow-tested head porting, spray painting, and sticker sets.

The stickers illustrated below cost $20 plus about $1 postage for 2 tank stickers and 2 side cover stickers:

Loncin 250cc.

A Zhongshen 250 is a possible alternative, if enough people are interested.

Please do! I'm sure a lot of people are very interested.
I, for one, would love to see the specs of the engine, like hp at the tyre/crank and torque figures. It would be neat to be able to compare it against the OOracing alternative, which, as I understand, is not really ''plug and play'' (needs adapter for top engine mount, is lacking a manifold without which the carburettor can't run a filter, etc... although it seems a pretty good 250cc engine: it claims 18 bhp at the rear wheel, 23-24 at the crank.

Anyway, it astounding the support and popularity this little 125cc chinese bike is amassing, and the increasing range of options available to mod it to our heart's content.

Now, if only someone could provide an already adjusted and pre-drilled full fairing like those hondas of old, I'd definitely lose my mind...and most probably my wallet in the process ::) ::)

Re: M-Ject Automotive (250cc conversion!)

M–Ject 250cc conversion:

Loncin 250cc engine
Front engine mount with bolts, nuts, spring washers
26mm carburettor
Pod style Air filter
Throttle cable
CDI

Slips straight in and all plugs match for the electronics

Total cost $875.00

Exhaust system cost has yet to be finalised.

If a minimum of five people are interested in the Zhongshen engine (as used in the AVA) this could also become available.

Re: M-Ject Automotive (250cc conversion!)

I would definitely be interested in the AVA style Zongshen 250cc engine, if it is the same one as in the publicity shots. I really like the look of it and it appears to fit the standard frame mounts. Please let me know if you can get the numbers together.

Re: M-Ject Automotive (250cc conversion!)

It's the other side!

And Zhongshen make variants with different details.

Re: M-Ject Automotive (250cc conversion!)

I know that it is the other side, but it still looks different. If you look in a line straight down from the exhaust studs, that whole round bit isn't there, which looks like it is the bit that makes it fit the frame without a bracket. Also, it might make things easier to find but do they really need to label the electric starter etc. They will have to be ground off. Don't know if the CDI bit can be removed/ground off. That said I do like the detailing on the crankcase covers and the front sprocket cover. This picture was harder to find as most of the swift pictures are of the right hand side for some reason. Maybe we can ask for the AVA version, but they might have a copyright or something on it.

Re: M-Ject Automotive (250cc conversion!)

Michael at M-Ject will be using the counterbalanced motor that AVA use.

California Scooter Co. have used the same engine in their P51.

I wanted to build mine from crate but when I called the importer 'ikonik motorcycle company' to order he told me they no longer ship them unassembled and I would have to buy it built from a dealer. So that's what I did.
...Maybe you can buy direct from china?

Re: M-Ject Automotive (250cc conversion!)

I have been informed that the crated bike option was discontinued to avoid potential difficulties with the registration authorities.

A pity, but a symptom of our over-regulated society!
