Swing Arm bushes.

My dear chums in Skyteam Land.
If this subject has been covered before, I apologise...
My swing arm bushes have given up after three years of lugging me about-will a Honda part be the best bet for a replacement. If so, any part numbers?
And.....I have also a tiny weep of fuel from the nearside rear of my petrol tank, probably from a seam. Is this a known issue? Or is it just lucky old me?
Keep smiling!

I'd measure them and try a bearing shop. Lucky you got 3 years out of yours. Mine had a brinelled shaft at 250km! I kept the bearings but got a new shaft. I will be checking them again before the warranty runs out.

one thing I've done as part of Jessica's rebirth is to pack the swingarm with red grease, it was dry as a bone in there

Cheers for your advice. Grease appears have been in short supply at the point of assembly, crap bearings were not.

Next thing...I seem to recall a while back that someone had replaced their exhaust with one from Davd Silver. Anyone know which part number, or are they all so similar and universal? How about the split collars?

Thank you, and will it ever stop bleedin' raining? Grrr etc

Not sure of details, but I see they do have exhausts in their 1982 and 1978 Honda CG 125 parts lists

Oh and what bearings did you end up using. Manufacturer? Part number?

Would be good to add to the parts list over on

Thanks-useful info.

Bushes were found in neighbours shed, lurking in the bottom of a box of long abandoned projects and obscured memories. Still in perfect condition in wax paper. He is certain they were genuine Honda bits. Got the calipers out and it all seemed to match, so in they went with great dollop of grease. Tempted to drill and tap either end of pivot tube for grease nipples....

Exhaust next.

Cheers.
