Ace Panniers / Saddlebags

Been Around the Block
While most will probably see this as sacrilege, I’ve built a set of panniers for my bike.
Why? You ask.
• Storage for the BIG weekend away on a small bike
• Because it’s different
• Because you can (if you have a bike with a handhold).
• This bike should not be limited to just day rides. These little panniers allow you to overnight without lugging a backpack (which does nothing for your enjoyment of the ride).

I've included a link to a set of fabrication instructions for those that are interested.

I think they're not too out of place and the size is in overall keeping with the bike.

I'd like you hear your thoughts (Don't worry I have a tough hide!)

I like them , would give you somewhere to stash a backpack for emergency shopping too. I keep a simple one under the seat . Well done

Hello again, Thought I'd show you my small pannier (not quite a pannier) that I carry spark plug and spanner in. This is off a 60s/70s cycle and fits neatly where some Ace's have a second lifting handle. No room for any sandwiches, good job it's a cafe racer. Tad

Thanks for the great responses. Tad's looks nice, but my sandwiches are a bit bigger. Mine get used daily for the sunglasses and shopping bag.
