I never road a CB off road or made a scrambler. I like street bikes on the street and dirt bikes in the dirt.

Give me a CR or XR any day.

But I am building a scrambler-ized XS400 for the wife. She wants something like this with trial style tires, but it will be all for looks, not off road abilities

I built this bike with the idea to keep it cheap, mainly for pavement, but if I want to bomb across the desert, (seems I've been doing that a lot) to have the potential. I've ridden motorcycles for 30+ years, on everything from CR's to Harleys.

Love the look of your bike. I have one myself but haven't touched it yet. The previous owner did take off the rear shocks and for some reason welded the frame together with no shock absorption on the left side. Anyway, yours is looking great!
