Has anyone ever noticed that parts seem to pop up in "lots" or multiplies?
I ended up getting a deal on a set of shocks...and then the next day another...and then another!
This seems to happen to me often. I will not buy XXX part for a while, and then all of a sudden I buy a few.
ANYWAY......
I have never actually rebuilt a set of shocks, so I figure this will be one of those small but fun projects.
Also assume that some of the people here might have either some insight into the project, or just enjoy reading about the process.
There are three sets of shocks that I have to rebuild.
First is a set of Mullhollands. These are fairly common.
Not really a performance part, but a nice standard shock.
Second is a set of Koni "Dial a ride" alloy body shocks.
I really like these because they polish up well when finished.
Last is a set of Marzochi
The first set is standard SOHC CB750 length and the other two are sized for a DOHC Honda.
All seem to move freely and have shafts that will be okay for rebuilding (no real pits or rust)
I guess the first step is to see what is out there for service kits.
Anyone have any leads?
