I'll need to shorten the rod on the rear brake from the pedal to the dog leg arm on the hub. I think I'll loose alot strength in the rod if I bend it to fit my needs.
Should I change the shape of the brake arm attached to the hub to keep the pull rod as straight as possible?
My other plan is to figure out the length the rod needs to be cut and shorten it, but slide a piece of steel tubing over it then weld it up and bend it to the shape needed. If I just shorten and bend it it's going to flex when the brake is applied.
