Also dimpled the main frame. Looks good and adds rigidity. Win win

Got a little more done this afternoon. Drilled and trapped the bottom triple for the stem and bored the holes to size for the fork tubes. Also went ahead and welded up a practice or setup piece. I'm trying to decide wether to weld up the frame and have it powder coated or tig braze it and clear coat the bare metal.

How much will the frame weigh when all said and done?

Would this work for a larger bike or would it end up being too heavy

Main part that I have tacked up in that last picture is actually really light, Judy guessing around 10 lbs. Now once I mount the 1/4" thick engine plate, rear end, neck tube, Jackshaft ECT, the frame will definitely go up in weight. The plan is to eventually build a full size bike with this same design. This is just more or less a proof of concept

Very cool, I've had a hardtail frame kicking around in my head that is very similar. Kinda with board tracker look.

Built the rear hard tail and used a fixture I made to locate the rear axle plate(not bought at Ikea), finished machining stuff on the front end, tacked er together and now we have a roller. The front end will come down a bit with the weight of the motor and a less than dainty rider.
