Post a pic of your motorcycle as it sits

Decided to go with the stock tank instead of putting the work into an earlier metal tank over the weekend.

Or not. Stock tank had expanded too much to deal with, I reverted back to a metal tank to avoid any further issues with POS plastic gas tanks. I hate plastic tanks...

Not done yet but getting closer!

Why is it most modern cars have plastic tanks with no issues, but slap one on a motorbike and they're instant grief?

Or because you don't have to put the majority of your vital organs over them.

Scratch built 66/67/68/69/70 Triumph Bonneville 650 AHRMA Production Heavyweight vintage roadracer (bone stock)

1970 Triumph T120R Bonneville 650, restored

1966 Triumph T120R Bonneville 650, refurbished

These are the last of my classic Triumphs, apart from my '66 Triton. The '66 has a bid on ebay and will be leaving soon.

The race bike was just fired up last week after a 7-year sleep. The '66 hadn't been started in almost as long. The '70 is my regular rider classic.

From what I've heard, the material they use for tanks that don't have to be painted is different than tanks that do have to be painted. That and on most cars if the tank expanded, no one would know anyway.

Finally got around to getting the XV1100 seat covered. No more NoFX tshirt cover for me.

Waiting for its alloy tank to be returned from the paint shop, should be ready this week. While the rear sets have been removed as I'm making a new set which will (hopefully) suite the style of the bike better. About to rip out all the wiring, to be replaced with new switchgear and an M-Unit ECU from Moto Gadget. Pity, as I put a lot of effort into that wiring harness.

Cognito Moto provided me some lovely triple clamps and that has kick started this project after a 6 month lay up. Hurricane Irma passed over my head

Need to re-do the exhaust as I had the wrong guy do it. So now to do it myself, the “right” way. Hop to have her on the road this summer.

Chasing some tuning issues but she looks good sitting still. Gonna change the bars and raise front for obvious reasons but this is how she sits.
