Wow man! That looks really good. I hope mine turns out half as well. A good blend between style and comfort.

thanks for the kind words guys.

goshen, let me know when you get here. i have only seen one or two other cafe bikes running around town. i'd be happy to lend you a hand as well

why yes sir, i've been working. i'll catch up on pictures.
i ordered a set of engine gaskets because i've been leaking oil at the head for some time. so monday night i went from an intact bike to this
228343_10100106931819795_22401740_47834235_7839829_n.jpg

and back together again. this was my first major engine servicing, and the clymer manual was a huge help (aside from missing page 80). i learned a lot
i cleaned the carbon of the cylinders and head, it was really bad. carbs cleaned up a bit too and i took measurements for the 2-1 exhaust i'm planning on building. if i can make it work, it'll cost me about 80 bucks including the supertrapp.

scaled.php

continuing my trend of taking crappy pictures, spending next to nothing and breaking stuff...
i made a bikini fairing (that may be a bit big) out of the rear fender i wasn't using
i broke a bolt off in the head trying to seal up oil leaks after the head gasket job
and i drank more beer

cheers

Looks great, perfect combo of DTT styling and DIY approach to getting things done ie on the cheap. Keep it DIY man!

Re: broke ass slo bike build CM400t New progress on page 7

I'd be interested in the details on that exhaust if and when you decide to do it. I like a nice 2 into 1, but I would think that a 2 into 2 exhaust would be alot easier to build.

I notice it says flickr test up there, how in the hell did you get that to work?! ;D

Re: broke ass slo bike build CM400t New progress on page 7

On flickr I clicked on the share drop down menu. Then I grabbed the HTML code. The trick here is you only need part of it. Copy the part that looks like a complete web address. Starts: http://farm ends: .jpg
Paste that into the add image option here
