gs450 won't run after 20 minutes

Has anyone ever heard of an issue like this?
After I let the engine warm up for a few minutes I'll take it out for a ride around the neighborhood. About 15-20 minutes in the engine will die usually while in 2nd or 3rd gear.
It starts right up in neutral but when put in gear it dies. Once the motor cools down it will switch back into gear.

Any ideas?

Sounds electrical - like a side stand switch or clutch switch playing up (maybe a loose cracked wire).
