Another CB360 Brat Thing

Been Around the Block
Just another CB360 Brat thing. Had a lot of fun with this build. It's only been on the road a week and already has nearly 350 miles on it. Really goes with the new rings and the VM30's. 80 all day is not a problem ;)

Nice work fella. Clean and simple... Would love to see more pics (including where you hung the plate, lights and indies)

It has a tail only. It's an LED strip above the shock mounted plate. I wired in two diodes and a resistor to make it dual intensity.

Before my buddy finished the seat...I put almost 100 miles on it this way!

Here's the build thread I put up last night. Most of the above photos are with the slimline shocks I tried to "salvage." I swapped them out for a set that was going on the 750 project. I also ordered up a GSXR steering damper off eBay, as she gets a little squirrly if you push her. I expected it (with such big tires), but it only rears its ugly head, on a corner, with bumps/expansion joints, at speed. The best possible time ;)

Peace,

Seth

The symptoms you describe are also the exact symptoms you can expect with no fork brace.

I really dig the look you have achieved, but for my tastes it needs to function at least as good as it looks.

It does look sweet, though!

Slight correction here... larger tires mean more stability, not less.

Yeah, the fork brace is also in the works, but it needs to clamp on the lowers IMHO. It's gonna require some R & D. If it were just for the forks it would be easy, as I have a set from a 350 I can cut down to 360 width. The stability of the wide tires is great straight line, but I still think there's something to be said for the large tire on skinny wheels in the corners. It is what it is and am fairly pleased with the handling, despite my few gripes. The 750 will have proper tire sizing, with roadriders. I built this to replace an xs650 hard tail bobber, so even reasonable handling has been an improvement! Thanks for the feedback!

Here's the bobber that I just got rid of...my back still hurts. No brace and no rear suspension...zero handling.

Here's the 750 with the 836 kit, port and polish, web grind, all the goodies. I plan on trying a set of Mikuni RS34's for the street.

You sir, have given me inspiration! how comfortable is that seat? I have the same bike and was trying to decide if i wanted to cafe it or track it out! Please help me out :]

It's not all that comfy, but you can put 80 miles on it before it becomes really bothersome. It's looks vs. comfort. You could put another layer of foam in, but it might look a little like an overstuffed armchair. I think if someone took the time, it could look good. I kept the bike two-up, so relatively speaking, the tail is a bit longer than most brats.

Nope. It's four base coats of Metallic Neptune Green, four of ford white, three of clear, then pinstriped and decals, then roughly another 15 coats of clear.
