What do we know about that bike? Looks like a Euro spec 400 with an RD motor - but why? FXR400 made 60 ish HP and 70 plus with mods. Adding a Cheetah 500 Banshee making 130HP makes sense though.

That's an epic movie Hoosier, gives me the chills every time I watch it.

Yep, that movie is worth watchin' at least once every winter. :D

Saw this zrx1244 "Special" at Barber last month:

I LOVE the zrx!! My brother (Seaglider) and a couple of other buddies (including Pipe Welder) have 'em. Don and I yacked with the builder for about 20 minutes. He's really passionate about building all-out, mega-buck, performance machines, and then selling the parts to customers to build their own machines. This zrx it their first project with this in mind. Some of the bits on this one are available and the rest, I'm told, will be soon.

We got to hear it run too!! Oh my!! It sounds as good as it looks!! 8)

Its also got reversed cylinders.

Who knows why? Maybe he had a spare RD lump and grenaded the FZR. Maybe he got the chassis for pennies. Maybe he wanted to build an insanely great handling smoker and used what was available. All I know is that it kicks ass. :)

That looks like a 1000 frame The 400 frames never had the indent in them. Either way it should be light and pretty fun.

Nope not a 1000. Early ones had the groove and later ones had that style of rear subframe mount.

I think it's an 89 TZ@250 3MA model which was never imported officially into the us. Aircooled 350 motor is a bit of a retrograde step, but maybe he got teh frame for cheap without the TZR motor and that was all he had available. Time to yank that old clunker out and slip an RZ motor in along with Cheetah top end and 10mm crank.

Ya, I here you all and what your saying here, but it all depends on what the builder was looking for.

Maybe he's a die-hard air cooled 350 fan and wanted to build the gnarliest, most unique 350 he could! If that's the case, I think he just might have succeeded. :D Your suggestion, as good as it is, might be blasphemous to him!! ;D

It's like me and my passion for h2's. If I simply wanted the wickedest 2 stroke, I'd go for a RG500, RZ500 or, if I really wanted to kill myself, a street-ed TZ750 for a project. That's not the point for me though. I want a unique h2, so that's what I'm working towards. :)
