Been super busy at the mo so sorry for lack of posts.
Finally got the bike running. Turned out the pod filters were starving the carbs, so removed and up jetted.
Been riding her a little and enjoying the english summer.
I'll post a few pics up as now a fully running bike! I can't quite believe it.

Few pic of the new man cave and a running bike.
Its only taken 18 months to get to this point!

Removed the front mud guard. Getting it chopped shorter but I quite like the look without it. What do we think. On? or off?

Absolutely on. It acts as a fork brace to remove any rotation or flex from the forks.

If you do decide to remove it, you should remove the brace from the underside of the mudguard, paint it black and put that back on. You'll never notice it but it may just stop you coming off! ;D

Don't chop the 'guard! It looks great, such a classy build.
Also without bracing you may as well replace the front end with spaghetti (cooked).

More pics.
Machined inserts into the triple tree.
New cut down front mudguard.

Took the bike out in the dark yesterday. Found out the headlight on these old bikes is very poor.
Went to check the lamp and found out it's a sealed unit!
I may need to upgrade, anyone had the same issue and upgraded?
If so what options are out there?

Putting the bike through it paces. Few gremlins sorted out. Squeaky front brake pad. Rear swing arm bushes shot.
Strip down coming soon.
New Antigravity battery mount made.

Engine before and after.
Used VHT enamel primer and VHT satin black engine paint.
Think it came out OK.

Looking good mate , starting to take shape you cant beat polished covers to set off the motor 8) is that sunshine peeping thru ya windows  makes a change from rain eh , just as it starts again :( look forward to ya updates mate ;)

Certainly does! It's been 'clear' for the last few days, but the rain hit again today! (I was out cycling in it)

Project looks great, maybe we'll do a UK meet up over the summer! This project really looks like it's coming together now too - finalised your paint idea's? (since the tank and tail are sort of 'avocado green' now)
