While I do say everybody draws inspiration from their own sources .....there is a completely different thread for that Dave.

So this morning at coffee, where all the locals show up. I run into a guy I'd only met on the phone. Trent owns Atomic Customs and is a featured builder at Born Free. This morning he brought the bike he built for BF5, owned by his buddy Matt. Super nice guy, turns out he lives just up the street from me. This bike is down to the bolts cool. It's a real rider, no art queen.

[edit] How is this inspiration? To me...it means motivation to get my damn shovelhead back on the road.

You should see the details on that bike. That tank strip is damascus steel made from an old harley chain. Heat, beat, fold, repeat. It's one of the coolest things I've seen.

Right now this one is keeping me smiling...

That'd be my older son. He's about 13y/o in the pic. Posing next to the pocketbike he and I (mostly he) resurrected after becoming a Hurricane Katrina flood victim.
This was the first time he showed interest in motorcycles/tools/etc.
He's now 20y/o and currently deployed in Afghanistan. Before he left, he said when he gets back, he wants to build another bike. So, not only will there be another toy to play with, but I'll get to play with it with my son.
I can't wait ;)

That's awesome. Motorcycles have always been a father/son thing for me and my dad. Now I wanna find some of those old pics and scan them..

I've been on a Harley kick lately!
