As it came ‘round to a few maintenance items, I decided against my better judgement to start taking it apart and to make some big changes...

Haha. If you look closely, it's in the background on top of the Roadrunner. LOL

So doesn't that make it "TOP" priority, right?

Is that a mono shock swingarm or your stock one?

Nice. Has this been done before converting a dual shock over to mono?

That's cool. I knew they had a mono airhead, I just didn't realize it used the same swingarm and fd as a dual shock model

It doesn't normally. In stock form, like an RS or GS, R80 or R100, they used a monolever swingarm and final drive...

The monolever swingarm will fit in this frame, but that means all new swing arm, final drive and rear wheel. I don't really want to spend the $1k if i don't have to, or lose my Lester rims.

Holy shit dude. I turn my back for one fucking day. ;D

That is fucking amazing!!!

Re: 1977 BMW R100/7 Miles Von Muncher Hellride

Some heat and a cutting wheel to turn a stock subframe into a custom subframe...

In anticipation of forces being too much for the 10mm stud and the hub, we’re sharing the load with the axle.
