Cb360 another one

Been Around the Block
This is another neglected bike I picked up about 3 years ago or more. Had it running with the way it came but very boggie, some trouble shooting later and I find the compression is low. So I ordered about $200 in parts and not to mention I have a whole other motor complete aside.

I'm looking to make a simple clean brat style build with a removable seat. I plan on riding this bike two up , and just doing it from the ground up. MX style bars. Ugh that's the plan haha, what do you all think .. or how about a restoration

Resto would be cool, maybe with one or two updates here n there?

Two up Brat? be careful of rear frame/hoop clearance, I reckon a slight kick up could work. Maybe invest in high quality easily adjustable shocks/coils so when taking a pillion crank them up, then notch it down when solo?

Keep the tank stock colour and decals whatever you do, me likey Mr Honda's tank design.

Not really a big progressive step but limit of sun light I just decided to finish putting the Allen head bolt kit I had pending well the bottom half anyway, oh and replaced the Philip heads of the points as well, I know fancy .

I agree resto sounds good, I do have the original seat side covers and a few other bits and pics. Maybe a non bulky resto , eliminating anything clunky.

I also agree on the shocks , although my primary passenger is only about 95 pounds. And yes the original paint and decals are not to regoned with. Although I was thinking a more maroon red... Humm? Future

A brat seat is going to be pretty uncomfortable for a pillion.

That's probably not a bad thing considering it's only a 360 8)

Invest in a bench wirewheel/grindstone/polisher....it's THE most useful device and I use it almost everytime I work on the bike. I love a session on the wire cleaning shite off bolts and alloy parts....the Honda quality still shines through after 30+years.

I'm sure you can find one for circa $20-30, just be aware of the motor power rating. My cheapie is low torque and I can stop it if I push too hard.....pay more for a gruntier motor I say.

Yes thanks for the advice I do appreciate it, I have been wanting one of those wheels actually and plan on getting one soon. The brush did a great job actually and gave it a brushed aluminum look. I will still blast it due to tight spots in the middle of the engine. And wanting to paint it .
