Yamaha Bronco ST225 'Tracker'

Hey guys, Im Tom from New Zealand. I've recently purchased a '97 Yamaha ST225, also known as a Yamaha Bronco. Its one of those cool Japanese market bikes that is styled like a classic enduro. I think it's a pretty good base for a 'street tracker' it has the looks of a classic off road bike but with cool on road features like 6 gears etc.

Ive only had it for about a week so not much has changed apart from a decent clean to get off all the grime. The plan is for a new exhaust, seat and lights in the next month or so. I'm in the process of changing jobs and im also a student so the project might take some time! I want the bike to look simple, fast and fun.

Thanks for the kind words. I've just started working part time at a local custom bike shop so ill be able to do a lot more to the bike in the next few months. They have a shit load of cool parts from Japan and the mechanics there are gods! I've done nothing to it as yet apart from new lights that ill change again in the next week or so. Slow progress.....

Yeah its fun as hell around town. Fast enough to zip through traffic and has 6 gears for the freeways. Hope to get a new exhaust made up and a filter on the carb and a tune. Hope that brings out her full potential!
