Just picked up your thread. Good progress. Nice bikes to work on.
Run out of zip ties? Dental floss is an excellent alternative.

🎵Well it's starting to look alot like🎵... a motorcycle.

Preliminary assembly to get it rolling for seat fabrication before tearing it down to paint the frame.

Couldn't locate the correct allen wrench so the head of a bolt w/ a nut works great in a pinch 😱

And I forgot to order tires so I can't get it rolling tomorrow

Another lunchtime update... I was able to get the center stand & front wheel fitted.

The shock resivoir is wrapped in bubble wrap til I get a mount worked out for it.

I gotta find a rear tire to fit the rear wheel. 👍

2 things suck beautifying Comstars; 1) cleaning - they have a lot of unreachable pockets that still hold crap, 2) you will use more paint than you planned because of trying to get paint sprayed into those pockets. I used Duplicolor etching primer, wheel paint (black) and clear wheel paint on mine and lucked out with them looking pretty good. But the cleaning (and masking) took a whole week, the painting the best part of two days.
