I was admiring the build and realized this one might be hard to slide into a specific catigory. Hence, the poke at the tracker gods and their fixation of categories;D.

Oh, I'd say this one fits right in this category, Troy. I mentioned the other day how I'd like to see more dragbikes on the board-I think set-up correctly, this one could scream. It would be cool to have a "dragbike" section-ya know how I'm obssessed with taxonomy ;D

Wow.

So different. I actually love the ingenuity you have taken to make this work!!!

I'm diggin the challenge!

I hope he comes back and answers some questions too like, about the engineering. I really dig the double carrier bearing set up. I'd like to see more detail on that. It is pretty intriguing. Might be common but I've not paid any attention to the big wheel bikes.

it actually is quite common....its called a jack shaft and i think its required on most crotch rockets after a 280 tire size.

Why? This bike makes a statement, that statement is 'Fuck you lemmings!" and that's badass. Seems like everyone will pick apart something that doesn't fit their personal vision.....and this is a NICE forum.
Personally and I've considered doing it just for the bitches that will piss and moan, you should throw a 280 series front tire on it. Obviously it wasn't built to rip canyons so turn in won't be a huge issue and remember kids, compared to new bikes these old UJMs are like freight trains....not really suited ot carving.
A 280 up front and some power steering and you're dialed!

Love.

This.

Build!

(just because it IS odd!)

Secretly, i like it too!

I like it for its WOW factor, but would not want to ride it!

I have been checking this thread to see if the builder posted more, but have been disapointed! :(

crazy mad props for the idea and execution. not my style though. not a fan of anything over 200. lookin forward to see more of this though

Troy I hear ya...

I'm all for building new and different. I'm not trying to upset this builder in any way. I was kinda hoping he was going to reply w/ "I'm not too worried about performance, I plan on running 20lbs of boost"..... haha

lol. i will be happy with 70mph.. but once i get the bike donre ill change sprockets and take from there. im trying to slow my butt down from the 08 hayabusa i have. its hard to keep it under 120. im into the look thats all.. the air ride is awesome, ride smooth. im going with flat black when i get it done, i will start powdercoating and polishing. ride safe

thanks guys.. A+++++ to all..

can anyone point me into the right dirrection.. i have an 76 cb750 looking for the cafe seat and tank.. something that doesnt cost an arm and a leg. thanks

Sean from Roc ciTy on here makes some awesome seats that are very well priced... on the tank what type of a tank are you looking for? that is where the big $ usually comes in unless you make something or make another tank work

here is my collection @ moment.

Yeah see how subtle I am too?
At forst I was saying 'Run a 280...." now I've slacking off on the pressure and goign with a 240. If we w0ork it right we'll see a 190 or 200 on the front.....this bike needs to finish the statement.

Hell...I'll throw down: Bam if you feel like making the leap to a nice chubby front tire too, I'll do the machine work and make new top and bottom triples for you for time and materials.
C'man man......Go phatty!

for now ill keep the 120 up front.. my pockets are low and i have my other cb that i want to cafe. the tank &seat are going to take my arm off. i still have to clean the motor and rest off bike. powder coating is not cheap when i have lots to do.. thinking all red wheels forks etc with black accents.. but im going to start with the front wheel and see how i go from there.. i just want to ride in daytona for now. and its comn quick. ill do the cleaning in the summer.. (cleaning means paint, polish, etc.) thanks for everything. u guys rock..

So... can I get more info on what it took to fit that front end?

All that insane fab work and design to get that monster truck tire under the rear and you ask the guy how he swapped the front ???

WOW!
