HELP! needed for senior rider friend: 1984 Honda 500 Ascot VT500FT tank

brian weir

Been Around the Block
A retired friend who still rides and I think is now over 70, his Ascot tank has become almost irrepairable i.e. it acts like a garden sprinkler/shower head when filled, and it has been fixed a few times, too thin a material. he can't ride the bike right now, trying to get it fixed one last time.

Could Ton-Types people check the boneyards or any sources- tank could be from anywhere is OK --please?? that would be a very nice thing for my older friend who still rides way more than I do...
gotta get off my ass, have built a winch and ramp to bring the CB450 K1 up to the garage for its first starting/running.

thanks, brian
