Project Mini-Bob... redux

Well, I've been working on a mini bob for awhile, using a CB360 as a base. Previous progress can be seen here:

Well, since I now have a lathe (and know how to use it... ) decided to finish my jockey shifter.

Here is where it was at before:



I had sorted out the pedal and Shifter mockups, but were totally unfinished.

So, after playing with my metal bender/lathe/drill press/milling setup on the lathe we get this:



Here is the setup for the pivot.



Uses bronze bushings for better action. Still a some finishing to go, but looking way better then before...

I love my lathe!

The new shifter is the tits!
Does this mean the mini-bob build goes into high gear? Can't wait to see more.

Well, between that, my "secret" chopper and my buddies FZR.... ya... high gear for all of them.

That's shifter is sweet. So many tools, so little dollars. Keep it coming
