Not a very good pic - but here's my ex. Brother in Law's [#1 ] B33 pictured on Dartmoor in 1963.
Two weeks prior to this pic he bought it as a good running B33 for £5.00 [ $13 ?], we sorted the Cafe Racer bits out of my garage fitted it all up and he went off on his holidays to Cornwall [ from Essex - 250 miles ] the following week, with no more than an oil change and a tweak of the carb.
When he came back we fitted a Goldie steel tank and a few other goodies. All the time this was his daily ride and had to be kept on the road. Later we fitted a Goldie engine and box and the whole plot was painted over a weekend in Super Rocket Red.
We managed to score a set of Taylor-Dow forks and yokes [ trees ] and had the wheels rebuilt with Borrani alloy rims.
The tip of the day [ for solo riders only ] was to use the passenger rear peg mount as the rearset position, otherwise a lug was welded in the lower corner of the peg mount tube.
BTW - note the position of the clip-ons !! 600 mile round trip with two up and he was 120 lbs soaking wet.
