Hey all ! I am Chris, i am currently living in Belgium in Hasselt. I have an Ace 125 for 1 year now, and i just finished a rebuild and upgrade thanks to OORacing parts. I will fill out the database, as soon as i receive my rear tire and do my first drive in 10 months... thank for this forum it is a gold mine for the Ace ! I find it amazing that this little Chinese bike is in fact a sensation all over the world !! I first saw on in France in 2014 and in 2016 i decided to buy one for my birthday ! I had many problems with it at first but now it should run like a dream ! Any one from Belgium going to the cafe racer gathering in Antwerpen next weekend (13/08/2017) ? I will be, it will be a pleasure to meet some other enthusiasts there !!

Good to have you with us Chris!

We would like to see some photos of your bike, specially if you go to the Antwerp gathering.

What are the details of that Comstar wheel in the rear ?

Hey Mariner,

I got it when i brought the bike. I also have the front one, which i still have to find a way to mount it.
On the rear i currently have a Michelin M45 3,5 x 18. It feels very stable and grippy but there is just one problem, the wheel is offset from the axis of the bike :/ so when i go over a bump a bit fast it rubs the internal mudgard, and i see now way in fixing that appart from removing the mud gard.

Thanks Chris,

Jeez... if the rear wheel isn't inline with the front wheel I'd be more worried about the effect on safe handling than I would about it rubbing on the guard.

Phil.

Hey Mariner, i can only feel it is not inline when i take my hands off the bars and let the bike roll, it tends to pull to the left. But otherwise it rides fine.

Thanks Chris,

Look at changing the spacer(s) to move the wheel to the centre if it doesn't take the chain out of alignment. However it does look nice.

I also agree with The Mariner on safety. Anything less than straight line rolling without hand on is unacceptable.

An interesting mod on extending the torque link. I guess it places the link in parallel with the swing arm.
