Well, it's not exactly a race bike, but it's close. :D

I've just started this 'little' project. The intent was to just strip it down to the "bare necessities" and get it ready to flog it on the track 2 or 3 times a year. Don't put any money in it. Keep it simple, right?? 8)

You know what always seems to happen though... :eek:











Can't stand the yellow paint. I guess we could paint it green.

The pipe is crap. I guess I could 'keep an eye out' for a Kerker.

The rear shocks are junk. I guess I should find some better 'suspenders'.

I want to switch the shift pattern to 1 up, 5 down. I guess I could splurge on rearsets.

And on and on it goes...

... sheesh. :-\

It won't look THAT good, but it's in pretty decent shape. :D

As is typical for vintage "race/track bikes", it'll be a bit of a "mish-mash" of parts. I'm even combining "eras" a little. (shocking... I know. ;D )

Because I have some 18" aluminum Sun rims all laced up and ready to go, I'll be switching over to spoke wheels from mags. I suppose that change will be the most noticeable. :)

I'll have to "keep an eye out" for that little fairing. ;)

And I'm going to step outside the Kawasaki green box and say it would look bitchin in Gpz red.

Yes, you DO need a trackbike! We should ALL have trackbikes... ;D 8)

... and yes, Gpz Red would be a very good choice. 8) My guy already has some green though. :D

Ya, well, this was as simple as the cold weather and frost causing concrete to heave and his garage door to jamb. We can't get in until he fixes the problem.

No worries. It'll still be there.
