Thanks...

Scoot is back on the lift... preliminary break-in complete, oil/filter change, cleaned tappet oil screen. Now to shorten excess wire length, work towards completing build, decide what needs to be changed.

Installed standard length (24-1/4") FXST fork tubes and rubber gaiters. Needed to increase corner clearance... dragging Jiffy Stand in left hand corners. Liked the low, short-bike look, but longer forks provide more clearance in corners.

Rattle-can Satin Black over rattle-can self-etching primer... utility paint for a utility build.

Not sure I'd call that sweet motor and tranny a "utility" build but it sure is nice!

Well, it's an everyday ride that I don't clean on a regular basis, bike hygiene borders on Rat. My OCD is more with mechanical; engine, drive train, brakes, tires, etc... living down a lime-rock grade, every ride is either dusty or muddy.

As it damned well should be. Coming along really nicely, OCD is your friend!
Thanks coyote13... waterproof electrical connectors arriving today, should be in the wind in a couple.

Forward controls gone... making the change to footboards. Headlight wiring complete, a little clean-up left on remaining wires. FXST length fork tubes installed, rubber gaiters installed, front fender installed, almost time for more road test.

Softail Bobber is back on the road again... time for more tests. Progress so far: more ground clearance = Jiffy Stand doesn't drag, wiring clean-up = no magic smoke escaped, footboards = comfort for my 14's.

End of Summer... still T-shirt weather in North Florida, I just don't sweat while riding.

Really digging this ride man. Glad to see it on the road! We're getting pretty close to the end of tee shirt riding up here in Mid Ohio. Ride safe my friend and enjoy that scoot.
