Hey I'm a newb..... Classic. Anyways I'm in the market for a Honda Cb and came across a 650 for relatively cheap. But from what I've gathered is that 500s and 550s as well as 750s are much more common and easier to work on and change out parts. I just want some advice whether as to buy or not to buy. Please help!

Depends on the model (year) I think. I'm currently building a cafe racer on a CB 650 Z base.

Just got some USD front end and swingarm from a ZXR400 (after a few mods) on it.

Parts for the 500, 550 and 750 are indeed more common to find. Still there's enough parts for the 650 out there

cb650 engine is the pinnacle of SOHC tech from honda. it makes closer to cb750 power than it does 550 hp, while being in a chassis based on the 550....1979 is the best year, it has the pre-CV carbs and the rear section of the frame is flatter from a side view, 80-82 has a drop in the rear frame hoop area. most cb550 and cb750 wheel/suspension componants fit with ease. for the 81-82 you can swap to ninja zx600 carbs from mid-late 80's to ditch the crappy CV carbs.

currnetly doing a 650 rebuild. only issue i ahve had for parts are OE pistons. NLA
