SHIFTING ISSUE

CL450 Honda. It started on a group ride doing a lot of start stops and sitting in traffic. Bike does not want to shift from 2nd to 1st, it goes to Neutral. It ONLY does it when it is up to temperature. Cold up to operating temperature it shifts fine. After the group ride I just figured my clutch was shot, so I replaced it and have the same issue. So after its hot shifting from 2nd to 1st it hits neutral. Then I have to shift to 2nd to go back to 1st and sometimes it takes 1 or two tries that way. Any Ideas?? Clutch adjustment is fine.

Try a heavier weight oil. Sounds like it shifts well while the oil is cold and thicker, then has issues when it heats up and thins out.
