Shorten brake lines?

I need custom shorter lines for cosmetic reasons. I went to the place I have used in the past, Spigler. I need 2 lines 13" (300 mm) long each. I wand of each will have a 45 degree banjo and the other will have a 10 degree. Just silver with clear cover. They want $124 plus $10 shipping which was way more than expected.

Looking at what I have now, they have a place to put a wrench that I have not seen before on aftermarket brake lines.

Were these a make at home kit? Can I shorten them?

There are these for sale-

you've prob already seen my post in your other thread about these lines but I have also gotten braided lines off ebay with (fake) DOT stamps on the clear coating which worked out to under $10 each, can't find the listing now but a search should get you something. they've been fitted for a couple of years and no probs , even the clear coating hasn't turned yellow yet, if I remember the seller had them in about 10cm increments from quite short to OCC fork lengths
