Air/Fuel mixture screw spring missing

Been Around the Block
Had an issue with my carbs not sucking fuel - pulled them off, did the whole boiling lemon juice thing. Fuel is flowing and the carbs are as clean as a whistle, but I must have forgotten to get the springs out of the a/f screw opening. When I look in there now...no spring. They must have come out while I was boiling them and then washed down the drain.

Any clue on how I could replace the springs without having to spend too much (almost no) cash?

What carbs/bike? Someone might have some junk carbs laying around.

Otherwise Sirius Consolidated might be helpful. They have a lot of carb bits.

Or a ball point pen ;D

Yeah this ^^^

The spring is only in there to hold the O ring in place to seal the circuit, so as long as you find a spring that fits it should work.

I checked around at a few local hardware stores to see if they had something that would work - but none of them had anything close.

Call me anal, but I would never be able to stop thinking about that stupid little spring. Luckily I found a set of original screws with springs on ebay - $12.
