re fill forks that have no top nut

shizzles

New Member
hi,
recently picked up a suzuki ts100 for very little. got it all running and freed off the clutch, but the suspension feels extremely weak as if there is very little damping. but when i went to change the oil the top of the forks have no nut to open them, am i somehow meant to fill them from the bottom or have i missed something simple here?
thanks.

*edit, noticed there is a large allen key bolt on the underside of the slider, going to try and see if i full them upside down or something when i get up tomorrow

Almost certain you have to push down top cap and remove wire circlip. I don't think I've done one since 1985 and just can't remember. May need to loosen top clamp bolt and use a short piece of broom handle as 'drift'
