1968 Suzuki T500 Cobra

Picked this baby up last year and it's been sitting in my shop since then. Been going back and forth on what to do with it. Given that's it's a first year T500, I've settled on a full resto, as close to original as I can do.

Most of the parts are there, but I'll need to track down a side cover and some badges. The crank cases have a crack, so I'll need to get that repaired and there's a bit of surface rust, but most everything looks OK. I'm hoping most of the work just needs to be aesthetic.

Currently working on getting a lost title and clearing out a few bikes in the shop, then I'll get to work. Updates will be slow as I have a lot going on, but I at least wanted to get the thread going.

Really is dragging his feet here... Yawn...
Yep, I'm bored, we need to inject some drama in this thread.

I vote you hardtail it.

No idea... I was just messing around. I have a long way to go before this one is completed.

That was a poke at drama... No doubt this will be a fine ride, have fun with the build.

Peace out.

I say go for a "survivor" look rather than a full resto. makes it a lot easier when you dont need to make everything look new again.
