This is a project my son is working on. Started out as a '82 440 Ltd. I think he's going for a brat style?
Here's what it started as. (Dark pictures)
He's shortened the tail, took the high bars off and put some flat bars on.
Here's some pictures of, as I call it his Mad Max battery box. He was going to make it out of aluminum sheet, but decided to make it out of 1/16" sheet steel.
Loop on shortened tail section.
Seat Base.
Key location maybe.
He's going to put shorty pipes on it and minimal wiring/gauges etc.
Quite a difference from his SV 650.
He's not that young, 23, you have to remember I'm a really old fart, 6 decades
I'll post some more pictures this week, he's detabbed the frame and finished up with
his mounting tabs for the battery box and boxed in the back of the shock mount tubes.
He also has the bottom end of the engine put back together, it had a bad seal from the shift shaft, he checked out the rest of the engine and has gotten a different cam and head as the head had some score marks from the cam.
Long delay on this one. My son started on it, sold it to his buddy, then it sat in a shed for over a year.
He bought it back and then did all of this in 4 weeks.
He still wants to repaint the wheels and do something else with the controls. He also wants to
pick up a Kawi 750 twin.
