first one- not a great success, cylinders full of oil ...

no smoke or anything just fresh noise!!
no air filters and no adjustments done so there is no idle at the moment...

its pretty loud but sounds nice live.

You said that it wasnt tuned or adjusted yet and didnt idle. I meant that you will have it "dialed in no time", meaning all adjusted and purring like a finely tuned machine!!!

That frame mod you did to get that swingarm mounted is freakin sick. You can really see it in that first photo, looking down on it. Great job!!

Hey Spyra,

I dont know if you have any plans for paint, but I left my tank raw steel. I wipe it down with an oily rag about one time per week and it stays nice. I think the raw steel look compliments your bike also. Just an idea to consider. 8)

Hey ctluba!
I had it on my mind untill i stripped my tank to the raw metal.. its pretty damaged on the right side so cant leave it paintless.
looking for another tank in good shape but if i wont find it its gonna be black.,.
The plan for paint is: Black(frames, swinger, tank and fenders(if any), some gold accents(cause of copper/yellow metal elements) and red(Spring, calipers, brake pump..)..

you can find some reverse levers on ebay sometimes. mine are the old stock made for BMW and russian k-750 and m-72.

we shall see

worked at it a bit yesterday. Done the little brackets for springs to hold the cones,

adjusted the carbs. Now it has a goood idle. No more cough etc... dbkillers i made made it sound way better! Much more bass.
Then i was staring at it.. for an hour i guess

Wow! Just found this and read the whole thing. Awesome work and a killer looking bike. I love it. I've been learning a little bit about sheet metal and I know making those cone mufflers would be a pain for most of us but you made it look easy. Nice!
