it all begin when i bought my honda ascot 500 single. after a couple ride i was starting to see what i wanted and it begin...
i'm a aiming for this winter a mild scrambler. when i begin strippin it down a found some minor rust on the frame, some jbweld on the rocker cover...., and alot of oil, dirt and other shit. so a big clean up and minor frame modification is required mainly for the seat (one from a cb 450). my carb is now rebuilt and rejetted for my velocity stack and custom exhaust (not done yet), to get the high exhaust mount like a scrambler hehe.
for this winter i want to do:
-big clean of all the bike
-remove the jbweld(on 4th pic) and adjust the valve
-make a exhaust
-put some motocross bar
-cut the frame at 3 places (the last pic)
-mount the seat
-put all those thing on the baike ;D

The Ascot was my first street bike, that thing was indestructible! Had a good time blowing people away on more powerful bikes in the twisties!

i like the bike in general but some adjustement is needed like the shocks are really really soft.
i rode it not gently, it look like a tought bike!

Interested in seeing what you do here; I have one coming my way as soon as I finish the other projects. I wanna make a super stripped super tough every day NYC pot hole destroyer.

speaking of pot holes, your talking to a guy from quebec ;)!
i'll keep you updated on the bike as soon as i do something ... when im not working damn

I had some little done on the ascot, i had finished the carb and put a velocity stack, few cut on the frame, started to modify the seat (also cleaned it).

Seat looks a lot better the new size.
Don't worry about slow, I spend years 'playing' with bikes ;)

the place where i bought the jet kit ask me what are the mods on my bike and they give me 3 size of main jet and some nylon spacer to adjust the needle height

And where my friend was that? Still havn't picked mine up from Florida (gotta finish these three rojects first) but I'm most definitely thinking about it already

it was on ebay, but next time i won't buy sigma6... too pricey for what i got.

i will follow yours when you will start it, there is not alot of modded ascot on the web.

i'm starting to have more time for the ascot, so mega update is coming.
