GS750 valve clearance

Is this right? The spec is pretty much an entire set of feeler gauges. I work on 15 liter diesel engines with tighter clearance specs that that lol.

What do you mean? The valve clearance on those GS motors is the TIGHTEST valve lash clearance that I've come across! They are STUPID tight and have to be checked every 3000 miles. Are you reading it right? That's 12 to 31 ten thousandths of an inch.

You're 100% correct. I've never had valve lash specs given to 10,000th of an inch.

Clearances for cams running straight over valves are always tighter than rockers arms or tappets. The idea is they don't go out of spec as quickly.

Yeah but most of the motorcycle engines I've dealt with are about 3 times what they are for my GS. My R6, for example is .005"-.008" IN and .009"-.012" EX
