Ive been thinking about adding some pipes to make the headers a bit longer and using some kind of baffles. But I saw that DCC had some pretty nice looking shortys http://www.dimecitycycles.com/vintage-cafe-racer-caferacer-bobber-brat-chopper-custom-motorcycle-exhaust-parts-12-inch-shorty-muffler-80-03310.html

those look like they might be a bit short again, But I was wondering if anyone has some experience with those or similar ones?

Take alook at lowbrow customs might have what your looking for !

Dude.. hit up Rich Craig at Cone Engineering and tell him cafematty sent you.. They are quality mufflers and you can't beat the price.

They are also working on a new one that's a bit longer and like 20db quieter. I'm going to try and get my hands on some so I can do a compare vid.

If you look in some chopper mags, like the Horse backstreet choppers, there will be all sorts of cool complete exhausts for the XS650 advertised, from several companies. High pipes, 2-1, downturns, turnouts on one side, etc.

I can also vouch for these guys. I ordered a 2" in and 2" out megaphone for my yamaha triple and couldn't be happier with the build quality and sound. In fact this is the first thing most bike guys notice first. AMAZING quality and probably some of the coolest dudes to work with.

What are the prices like from coneeng? I think I saw some stuff from them at barber and liked what I saw.

aww sweet :) Thanks guys. those cones look and sound brilliant on that R65

Yes we do ship to Norway and just about everywhere else. International orders are normally sent US Postal Service Priority International. You can find all our parts at www.coneeng.com. Prices listed on the website are up-to-date. We prefer orders by phone but understand the difficulty with time zones so happy to respond via email for those outside the US. email is rich@coneeng.com.

Sweeeeet!

You'll notice I name-drop the crap out of them... I promise I'm not a paid spokesperson... (although I did get a free t-shirt and a koozie at Barber, haha)... It's corny, but in this day and age, when quality often falls second to cost, when you have a good experience with something, you almost want to shout it from the rooftops.

Rich is a stand-up dude. The rest of their staff that I've dealt with have been suuuper cool. Their product is solid. You can't beat the price. I feel like everyone needs to get in on that!

thats great! Ill have to contact you when I finally get the time to start working on the bike :)
