If you can't buy it, build it.
I fabricated my own springer front Brake bracket to use my stock front brake. I do not have the cash for a nice brake stay so I made one using 1" x 4" piece of plate strip with my holes and my bushings etc. My brake bracket is 1/4" and works fine but what thickness should my brake stay be? It currently has plate slighty larger than 1/8" but not yet 1/4" . I wonder if this will be strong enough or if the 1/4" would be safer?
