Is this inlet supposed to be bent? Inconclusive from Google searches.

No but it's been bent in transit or carbs were dropped.
Do not try and straighten it as it will snap off
It was like that when I got it (if I did your carbs?)

Seems it's a real common damage area
Just noticed BBC on paper underneath carb
