well i have been wanting to do this forever... we do about 15 a week for customers and figured it was time to do my own... So i pulled my throttle body and handed it to Timmy from our shop. He took it and ported it out and polished it up. From there blasted it, masked it, and powder coated it... next up was to work on the intake... i could not justify the hundreds of $ that companies charge for cool air intakes... so... made our own! came out great... blasted and coated that!
pics are below... i have to say, THIS ROCKS! the results are amazing! my gas milage pretty much stayed the same but the throttle response is night and day improved. the whole peddal feels "fuller" just feels like it has so much more to give now... i pulled a trailer for 130 miles (2 place enclosed motorcycle trailer with 2 baggers in it) and the truck was like a beast! whole new world for trailering!!! just pulls so much better even wtih OD on she is no longer hunting for gears RPMS are much smoother she will pull to pass with out hessitation... fantastic mod i highly recomend this!! i have a feeling we will be seeing alot more jeep throttle bodys coming in for this mod and maybe even fab up some intakes.
i know there was discussion on here a while ago and no one really had any experiance on it... so figured i would share, HIGHLY recomend this!!!
pulled her off (took about 5 min tops), just 3 bolts, undid the sensor plugs, the throttle just un hooks and the other cable snaps off

the intake all welded up and blasted waiting to be coated
and then installed it
install completed (yes i coated my hose clamps, if you are going to do it, do it right)
