awesome work mate, i'm hoping to get my new garage built by summer but i don't know its gonna look near as good what you've done. nice to see another melbournite (especially one from the north, i'm in reservoir) and nice cb250 you've got comin along too. i've got a pair of forks off one of them holding my BSA C11 trials-bike-to-be off the workbench at my mates place.
if you see a vmax (usually with some sort of silly paint job - lime green/black zebra at the minute heeheehee) out and about give us a wave cheers spotty

Sweet as man, ill definitely keep n eye out for you (lime green zebra vmax will be hard to miss Lol ) yeah looking forward to finishing up the cb rs and movibg on to the 400/4 ;)

Haha thanks man, once i have finished the deck were planing on having a bit of a swaray to christen them, we will be inviting all DDT members near and far ;D

Re: Workshop, The MASSIVE update!

Nice to see it finished, and I thought getting all my tools organized was work. This place looks like you will have fun for years. your builds will be so much nicer when you can have your tools all at habds reach and proper benches etc. I am working on getting to this point on a smaller scale.

Cheers,

Thanks mate :D, still a little bit to do to call her finished but bloody hell were close! I'm really looking forward to getting back on to the bikes ;)

Re: Workshop, The MASSIVE update!

Well, if the bikes that you continue to build are of the same quality of your shop, watch out.

Re: Workshop, The MASSIVE update!

Thanks for all the support guy's certainly makes all the hard work a lot easier ;)

Anyway so i've been at it again with another of those little projects I needed to get done.
I had these 2 multi draw tool boxes already and had previously attached some wheels to the bottom and stacked them with some alloy legs. Problem with it like this was that you had to bend over to get stuff from the bottom one plus it was to easy just to stack crap all over it as you can see :-\

So dismantle and rebuild with a new wide base, lower storage shelf and a 20mm hardwood top with alloy trim, perforated steel leg supports and of course refit the wheels. Nice little side affect is it is also a perfect height for a bar table with the stools I refurbished earlier ;D

any how heres some pics

Re: Workshop, another job done!

pretty cool, makes me want to put tool boxes under a bike table, would definitely save garage space, but then tools are always low

Re: Workshop, another job done!

Finally i've made the door ;D tried to make it look like an old fort door with the rivets, the frame is a pin bolt hinge job normally used for outside gates, so heavy duty enough ;)

Re: Workshop, and another job done!

So now i've decided that the next thing i'm going to do is buid in a small(ish) spray booth instead of the wall shelved i was originally going to do, funny how we change our minds lol.....

Re: Workshop, and another job done!

That planking picture is hilarious, sir.

Paint booth sounds like a damn good idea to me.
