stupid question about Bell 500?

Is a medium size bell 500 smaller in size than XL? Not just interior dimensions, exterior. I have a smaller build than I used to and I'm wondering if that's the reason an XL looks ridiculous on me (it's loose also). I'm either going to buy a medium bell or pick up a half if I can find one

Go try a few on! I seem that at nearly every motorcycle shop I've been in.
