First ever cafe build progress report

Hey Reject!

Love what you've done, really nice!

Since some people have never seen it done this way, you should put an angle finder on the forks and let us know what angle they are now, then give us more of your riding impressions!

Again, beautiful job!

I think I got pretty close.

I think you nailed it. I particularly like the period-correct RSC sticker rather than the later HRC. How's that for anarak ;)

cheers

Done? God, I hope so! My son was three in the first pic. He's 6 now.

You know the phrase "Life happens"? I had one child when I bought this bike...

Wow, you built a sharp machine! and a cute family too. My only daughter just turned 19, shes still cool and all. But at the age yours are at. Those days are more fun than a barrel of monkeys.

and you got me thinkin...wonder what it would take to shoehorn a fat 750 into the frame of a 360. HA

Good luck at the show! 8)

I had never realized that bike projects cause children....................

Never happened to me. Maybe I chose the wrong sort of bike ... ;-)

Huh! Bike projects cause children... A new fertility treatment! Non invasive, drug free, low cost (relatively speaking), brilliant.

Final bits of detailing and that's it! Honestly.

Stone guard screens and bar end turn signals.

Been riding and working the bugs out, tightening up bolts, fiddling with the carb, adjusting throttle, etc... People on the street seem to love the bike. It's a bike that is kind of rare to see in this town.

Seems I over jetted it and had to pull the carbs off a-gain. It has better manners now. The 4 into 1 Mac with competition baffle has a mean ass growl to it. On the highway, it sounds very much like a current in line 4 howling down the road. \m/

Here it is with my fender on. I lowered it but it's not quite a hugger. Looks tits, no? I was headed out to the Suzuki demo ride last weekend and shot this short vid before I took off. Rode the gixxer 1k OMG, the power. Also rode the gixxer 600. It was like a toy. I wish I had one to turn into a track bike. I could flog that 600 all day! :)
