Yet Another 400F build

thanks guys. I'll attack that tomorrow. Is there a shut-off circuit in these things? I know the DOHC Hondas have them, but these are a different carb.

cheers

I think I've cracked it! Too late to try tonight (1:30am), but when I was playing around with lowering the needles to address a slow-to-return-to-idle condition, I couldn't get one of the screws out to remove them from the slide of #1, so I used a spare needle/slide from a spare set of carbs, but didn't change the needle jet. I'll be there's a mis-match there, and fuel is flooding out.

Time for sleep ;)

cheers

Needle/slide won't cause that sort of flooding. It's going to be float or shut off valve problem
Eve though they are different to CB900 (slide vs vacuum) the float/shut off is very similar

It seems the substituted needle must have been too sloppy in the needle jet and was causing the flooding. Put the original back in, and she's purrin' again.

Happy camper.

cheers guys
