Hi, I'm posting all this for the guy looking for ideas, I wanted to build a little honda to bop around the city so.....
I kept the wheelbase at the stock length. the bottom rails are about 6" off the ground (which makes it fun to drag your toes in corners) the stock pic is not my bike but that's exactly how mine was. first I set the ride height, then welded the swing-arm to the frame to keep it set for the frame jig. as you can see you end up cutting the frame in half. cut a wedge out of a 175 tank, reset the rubber tank mounts and massaged a bunch of other bits. shaved the forks, picked up a cl450 front wheel, used the front fender as the back. made a little fake oil tank to hold all the wiring and one of those tiny batteries. rattle canned the frame an took it for a ride. massage some more bits, made a saddle bag an tore it apart. powder coated, played with the airbrush and finished. It's super fun to ride and has a sweet bark.
I thank everyone online for their inspiration and honestly I am posting this build not to get stroked or badgered I just hope it helps someone with their cb450 or twin project. cheers mike

I've been looking for some inspiration for my 450. I like this bike a lot! The frame shape is exactly what I'm looking for.
Thanks for posting!

I like the frame work, nicely done. Glad you ditched the first attempt to use the swinger.

hi ringo, I welded the swing arm on the frame for the frame jig setup. not as a finished piece. after you set the jig then you get to cut your frame in half an scrap the back. set the dropouts in place and bend the tubing to match. fun stuff, thanks

thanks spider, that's exactly why I posted, I'm super stoked! cheers

Hey man! Thanks for posting up picks of your bike. For awhile now I've been trying to figure out how to hardtail my 360t. The way you've done yours looks pretty straight forward. It gave me some ideas on how to do mine. I got the itch to get into the garage and start.

Not to stroke (certainly not badger), but there is so much right with this bike. Great photos. Amazing what a little bit out of the middle of a tank will do. Thanks for sharing.

BTW, looks like a nice 57 in the garage.
